About Sylvia Geipel

Welcome to my profile, in sixteen years of professional experience from laboratory work to technical support to pure product development with disciplinary and technical leadership of a team, I have worked in many positions within the RDE department. From the beginning of my working journey, sustainability have always been an integrated part. As sustainability becomes one of the key driver for the next years and in order to deepen my expertise and knowledge, I am currently leading the RDE Packaging Engineering Platforms and Sustainability team in Europe. My passion is to provide technical customer-oriented solutions with a huge impact on our ecological environment. This is something which pushes me to do my best or to go one step further and beyond. It is not only the technical part, but also more the combination to work completely independent within a cross divisional approach. Saying that I have summarized what is important for me to perform my job in the best way- Success means for me, to be energized by my responsibilities and with that to see “our” solution at customer side - I am energized, when a gap is identified, and I can work on a resolution by a new development/concept/process - I feel I can execute, whenever I can work independently by allocation of 70:20:10 and have the creative freedom to try myself by e.g. implementing developed strategies to see the results - I am envisioned when I am working in a diversified area, create cross-divisional links and work together to build strategies - I can develop my empower and embody skills with a strong role model
