About Sylvia Odera

am a highly skilled, self-driven, result oriented and Registered community Resource Manager with a passion and vast experience in Community resource management, extension services, community systems strengthening, Education,WASH, Emergency response Nutrition, Food security and Public Health. I am acknowledged for being resourceful, adaptable and with the ability to handle even the most challenging situations as a result of well-developed organizational capabilities and communication skills. With over 10 years’ experience in HCD designing and implementation, monitoring and Evaluation of Nutrition, Health and Development programmes, integrating humanitarian and Development Nexus, health systems strengthening and emergency response, policy and strategies development and implementing evidence based research interventions both for health and non-health interventions both in Kenya and Somalia. I also have a lot of insight on various SBCC interventions such as cash interventions integrated with M-health messaging and IVR (Interactive Voice Responses) for behavior change impact amongst others in both rural and urban populations, ICCM (Integrated community case management) in the absence of healthcare infrastructure while the need for health care services is very high and many other interventions that are affordable, feasible and can be suggested to developing and fluid cultural environments.
