I am Sylvie Makelberge, and I have had a remarkable journey in the design world at Arovo. My career started as a photographer and graphic designer, where I honed my skills and creativity. In 2012, I had the opportunity to join Arovo, a leading company in the consumer products industry, working with leading brands such as MasterChef, ELLE and Cosmopolitan. Throughout my time at Arovo, I have made steady progress and am proud at what we have accomplished. I am also confident my team and I have made a real contribution to the 10 times revenue growth the company has experienced since 2012. My passion for design and my insights have allowed me to grow into the role of Head of Creative. In this position, I lead Arovo's design department and oversee my team. I take pride in the team of six talented individuals under my guidance. Together, we collaborate on various projects and strive for excellence in every aspect of the design process. My background as a photographer and graphic designer enables me to provide valuable insights and guidance to my team members, just as they also make contributions from their experience that allow us to create beautiful designs that can be sold at competitive prices - this is the DNA of Arovo. Arovo's design department has reached new heights in the last decade, working with the major brands mentioned above to create consumer goods ranges in the kitchen & tabletop and personal care categories. I believe my leadership and expertise have contributed to this success. I am excited about the future of Arovo's design department. I will endeavour to continue to lead my team and use our combined passion for design to create beautiful products. I am determined to continue helping Arovo thrive and I am grateful for the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the design world.
