About Sylvie Marko

Hello/Bonjour! I am currently a Career & Employment Specialist at the University of Ottawa's Career Corner. Our team of professional and student staff assist students and recent alumni of uOttawa on their career journey during & beyond their post-secondary studies. We offer a variety of services and workshops to help build stronger employability competencies. I have worked in a variety of settings (ie. public, private, urban and rural) doing everything from fabricating artificial limbs and assistive devices, teaching at the elementary school level, working security at a gold mine to doing promotion and awareness campaigns within a university setting. The majority of my career to date has been focused in the field of health care, promotion and rehabilitation (15+ years), as well as 19+ years of project management & program planning experience, 14+ years of educational teaching skills experience via methods such as presentations, training & workshops. I am always up for a challenge and love working with and helping others in any given situation or setting.
