About Sylvie Samson

A partner in the commercial real estate practice in the Montréal office, Sylvie advises public and private clients on the full spectrum of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, financings, project development and joint ventures for a wide range of commercial, retail, office, industrial, multi-residential and condo properties. Her clients range from high-profile REITS to pension funds, as well as real estate developers and managers. She excels in navigating intricate negotiations involving multiple parties and simultaneous closings, ensuring seamless execution of complex transactions. She is proficient in crafting complex commercial agreements — including purchase, credit, development and partnership agreements — and has pioneered innovative and practical solutions to address novel legal and business issues. A frequent writer and speaker, she regularly gives conferences on real estate topics and presides various events in real estate. She is a lecturer of the real estate law portion of the Real Estate Management Certification Course at the John Molson School of Business and the Urban Development Institute of Québec (IDU). Sylvie is also a board member of L'Unité de travail pour l'implantation de logement étudiant (UTILE), the only social economy enterprise that specializes in student housing across Québec. She serves on the IDU’s Governance Committee and is an active member of CREW M, an association that promotes, supports and recognizes the success of women in commercial real estate. A strong believer of giving back to society, Sylvie is a board member of the Little Brothers Foundation, which has as mandate to raise funds to improve the lives of isolated seniors in Québec.
