About T. Brian Smith

As an established member of Redstone Federal Credit Union’s Leadership Team, I've had the honor of serving the members of RFCU for over twenty years. Currently, as Senior AVP/Security, Fraud & Investigations, I proactively lead areas of our credit union focused on preserving the safety and soundness of member and credit union assets through effective fraud and risk mitigation strategies. Teams under my servant leadership are the Physical Security Team, the Fraud Team (fraud investigations and analytics) to include Tennessee Physical Security, Investigations, and Fraud. Our Fraud Team includes the Credit Union’s card chargeback/dispute processes (credit and debit card fraud and disputes). It has been my pleasure to serve within a leadership role here at RFCU for over eighteen years with additional/previous titles such as: Security and Investigations AVP, Security and Investigations Manager, Financial Counseling Manager, Collections Manager (Interim), and Assistant Branch Manager. In addition to my service within RFCU, I also serve as Executive Board Member - Treasurer for Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers, current Member (Birmingham Chapter, including Huntsville), current InfraGard member, active member of ASIS International, and served as a Deputy Sheriff for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department. My Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration was earned from Middle Tennessee State University.
