About Tabatha Demann

I have a passion for helping people. For 15 years I worked in the mining industry with the intent to improve my co-workers work experience through Safety application and Training opportunities. I truly believe the best in people and always hope to be able to help them see the best in themselves as well. COVID presented me with a challenge. I had to separate from my company and find a way to move forward. Rather than sitting back feeling sorry for myself, I realized that it was an opportunity to see that I can help people in new ways. I headed back to the education field where I have taught middle school and high school English, History and Financial Literacy / Life Skills. I returned to coaching, and instead of football, I moved to Cross Country and Track & Field where I have found unlimited possibilities. I am a USATF Level 1 coach and love helping runners & other athletes accomplish things they didn’t think possible. Most recently I found myself faced with a huge opportunity, a new job in a new state, far from everything I know. I jumped at the chance to continue my path of helping people and am now the Director of Housing & Community Engagement at Dawson Community College, where I get to impact hundreds of young adults as they venture out into the world.I love my life and one way or another, I am determined to help as many people as I can, in whatever method is presented to me. Changing one life for the better is a gift; having the opportunity to change even more, is an honor.
