I was at the U of A Dental Society meeting and met a guy, Jonathan, who said they were hiring at this orthodontist office he worked at…he asked if I would be interested and eight years later I am still loving my job. It was one of the best decisions I ever made,” says Tabitha. In that time, she has become one of our key leaders and one to whom much responsibility is entrusted. She describes Dr. P as “extremely intelligent” and says that one of her favorite things about her profession is “the people…being able to see their self-esteem rise because their teeth are now gorgeous and they are no longer ashamed of smiling.” Tabitha is a woman of many talents: she has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Bachelor of Science in Biology, appeared on the “big screen,” modeled professionally and learned to ski. She loves to draw, play piano and watch movies, too. Football is the #1 sport to watch and softball is the #1 sport to play for her. She can be caught watching So You Think You Can Dance or House and her favorite movies are 300 & Gladiator. During the time she has been on our team, she has watched the practice grow and become highly organized. Her special talents were invaluable during the recent Idol Smile Model Shoot! She likes the high-energy atmosphere and the people she meets. “Dr. P. always talks about his diet when he tells the patients to wear their rubber bands”, she says. If the patients don’t want to hear about his diet again…well, ‘guess they should just wear those rubber bands!
