To achieve excellence in my life, I attempt to learn something every day & I do not shy away just because it’s a challenge. We all have adversities & how we choose to overcome them are life defining. The decision to go back to college was faced with difficulties & obstacles, & I faced each one head-on. This approach helped me obtain my A.S. degree, Project Management Certificate, & bachelor’s degree in business administration all with honors. Anything worth doing is worth doing to the best of your ability. My primary role involves maintaining our Agency’s Axon SaaS portfolio. I’ve been involved since inception, from negotiations, coordinating installation of hardware in a constantly moving fleet & providing training on software/hardware utilization to deputies & civilians. I’ve played a vital part in building a viable ecosystem for the Agency, working hands-on with Axon includes body worn cameras, in-car camera systems, & form creation within Axon Standards. I’ve also assisted in writing policies on equipment usage, evidence tagging, & categorization based on federal & state statutes. I manage Cradlepoints through Cisco NetCloud & troubleshoot any related issues. As our agency subject matter expert in Axon & Cradlepoints, I play a key role in troubleshooting & further implementing hardware/software capabilities. The system I’m building today will continue to be essential for the company with well-implemented policies & procedures, ensuring a strong foundation for the future. I also serve as a Tier 2 Administrator in the I.T. Dept, assisting Tier 1 with problem-solving & providing guidance when needed. I oversee their work to gain insight into training issues & participate in training new I.T. personnel. While working in the I.T. dept, I identified business needs that would benefit the onboarding & success of new employees. I took the initiative to design & implement a written onboarding process for our bureau, along with researching & writing probationary new hire evaluation standards. Despite it being outside my expertise, I embraced the challenge, conducted research & established consistent onboarding processes & definitive benchmarks, benefiting the entire company. I am committed to continuous growth, learn, change & adaptation for the betterment of my children, family, friends, community & myself. Turning difficulties into opportunities & creating success through small steps bringing positive changes that everyone can be a part of.
