I have been in healthcare as a Registered Nurse for over twenty five years. My experience has afforded me the opportunity to practice bedside and ambulatory care nursing, gain exposure to managed care in both the hospital and insurance industries as well as quality improvement for Medicare and managed care, and as an Application Analyst in Information Services. I received my Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Services in September of 2012 and have been with The Joint Commission since October 2013. In addition identifying safety and quality issues that affect healthcare, I lead an amazing team of project directors who write standards for accreditation and certification programs. I also travel a few times a year as a hospital surveyor which gives me the chance to see how hospitals across the country operationalize our standards.
