About Tadeusz Piatek

I have advised to both Polish and foreign entities in telecommunication, IT, media and competition law related matters. My strong experience is also drafting and negotiating domestic and international commercial contracts as well as dispute related matters. I have represented investors and suppliers in numerous transactions as well as in regulatory and commercial disputes in the above mentioned fields. I also advise Clients in both administrative and court proceedings, including matters which require sector related skills, such as related to the distribution of radio frequency. I also specialize in litigation and arbitration (both international and domestic). I am arbitrator in the Arbitration Court at the Polish Chamber of Commerce, in the Arbitration Court at the Polish Confederation of Polish Employers “Lewiatan” and the London Court of International Arbitration. I also used to work for the energy sector advising among others in contract negotiations regarding supply of equipment and services for power plants (including turn-key projects). I also participated in legislative work related to implementation of the 2002 EU directives on electronic communication in Poland, e.g. on the current Telecommunications Law and secondary legislation and on amendment to the Radio and Television Act. In 2002 – 2004 I worked in public administration as the head of the Legal Department at the Telecommunications and Post Regulatory Office (now the Office of Electronic Communication).
