About Tae Heath

In every job I’ve worked so far, I’ve made it my goal to be the best at what I do. To work my hardest and create fulfilment in making the companies goals and mindset my own. During my time at Santos I started as an entry level clerk, and made my way up to department manager, and finally to assistant manager. I set goals here, and achieved them, with the department I was managing increasing in profitability and sales under my management. I’m glad to have had this hands on management experience. It taught me a lot about how to foster engaged teamwork and grow my interpersonal relations skills with suppliers, customers and of course other staff. This is a quality I think many engineering graduates will lack. Despite my success in this role, I decided to quit to pursue my dreams in engineering. And yes, I know that’s corny, but it couldn’t be more true :) In my current job at Tricend Engineering and Project Management I work as a Technical Draftsman. As a student, this is as close as I can get to the action without yet having my degree. Despite ‘engineer’ not being in the title, I’m trusted with engineering design as well as the drafting. Of course this work is reviewed by someone qualified, and I take this as the perfect opportunity to get some feedback and constructive criticism. I love the design and problem solving process, and I hope to find more of that in my next career opportunity. I’d like to end my anecdote on this final note. I love engineering. I always have. It’s this deep seated love that gives me the discipline to keep pushing on challenging problems when others lack the motivation to continue. My curiosity and need to understand what makes the world tick give me an edge when it comes to understanding the problem at hand. Hire me because I will make your problem my life.
