About Tage Thorstensen
I am co-founder of AgriBiotix AS which is a biotechnology company developing new antimicrobial products against infections caused by antibiotic resistant bacteria. We also develop plant protection products containing beneficial bacteria and biofungicides. I also hold a position as researcher at NIBIO where my focus is gene editing of lettuce, strawberry and hedge plants using CRISPR-technology. I have long experience and expertice on genetically modified organisms (GMO) and gene editing technology (e.g CRISPR) and regualtion of this technology for food and feed. I have background as researcher from University of Oslo with expertise on chromatin structure an epigenetic gene regulation, senior advisor at The Biotechnology Advisory Board, technology transfer manager at Inven2 and ARD Innovation working with commersialization of life science projects, and as head of research at the Department of Plant biology and biotechnology at NIBIO.
