About Taha Muhammad

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Transportation Engineering Technology from Mohawk College, with future plans to pursue my PMP certification. I am passionate about sustainable transportation development, road safety, accessibility for all road users and have a goal to help bring traffic engineering into an innovative and safe future, where VRU fatalities are virtually zero. Presently, I am a Specialist (Project Lead) with the Transportation Operations & Safety division at the Region of Peel, Automated Enforcement unit. My previous work experience includes: Engineering Technologist Technician 1 (ETT1)—Vision Zero Projects, City of Toronto, Traffic Operations Technologist I & II, City of Brampton, Road Safety Technician, City of Mississauga, 16 months of co-op experience with the City of Brampton—Traffic Operations Assistant and BA Consulting Group Ltd—Data Collection Analyst. I am also an active member of OACETT, ITE/CITE, OTC, and TAC. Presently, I am pursuing my C.E.T with OACETT, designation pending examination. I am also pursuing my RSP1 certification with TPCB. In my free time, I enjoy conversing about international affairs, sports and entertainment. I also enjoy travelling, going to the beach, aquascaping, collecting rare plants and am an avid hiker.
