About Taiki Jo

Participated in a seminar on design, creative industries, and business while at Waseda University, and have experience of partaking in a 6 months long internship at a strategy consultancy firm. Four and a half year of experience working full-time as project manager at a global product development and consulting firm, involved in an e-commerce system enhancement project for a major apparel retailer in Japan. Ultimately seeking a full-time employment at strategy or design consultancy firms to lend my knowledge and experience in design thinking, empathetic inquiry, and cooperative research. Born in Japan, moved to China before my first birthday, lived roughly three years in Beijing, Suzhou and Shanghai before returning to Japan at the age of eight. Spent most of my time from kindergarten to high school at international institutions where I studied in English. Chinese is my first language but after living in Japan for over 10 years, now my mother language is Japanese. A childhood frequently moving from one place to another fostered my ability to adapt to new environments and get along with people on the first day of meeting. Usually can get the hang of new activities relatively quickly. Adopted the strengths of various cultures: As responsible and punctual as Japanese, as accommodative and liberal as many Western cultures, as passionate and positive as Chinese.
