About Taila White

I am passionate about reimagining infant and toddler education and care—its value, place, and approach within our education system. My work sits at the intersection of early childhood, psychology, well-being, and the arts, centering relationality, creativity, and embodied ways of knowing. My work as a nursery room leader opened my eyes to the complexities and nuances of working with our youngest children. Leading a team of four educators for over a year, we developed and refined our values and approaches to how we interact, learn with, and learn from infants and toddlers. With the support of strong management and the deeply reflective nature of our team, we demonstrated what is possible when we forefront what matters most—our children, our families, and the relationships that shape early learning. This experience reinforced the possibilities, richness, complexity and deep meaningfulness of education and care for children under three. Through my work with Ethical Interactions Consultancy, I contribute to research, professional learning, and content development in early childhood education across Victoria and Australia. I support the design and delivery of SRF and Kindy Uplift-funded programs, focusing on making research and evidence-based practices accessible and practical for educators. My strengths lie in translating concepts into meaningful, engaging content.
