About Takatoshi Kuno

As CEO of Veneno Technologies, I am leading our mission to unlock the full potential of Disulfide-Rich Peptides (DRPs) — nature’s most stable and functionally diverse molecular scaffolds. Characterized by three or more disulfide bonds, DRPs combine remarkable structural stability with high target specificity, enabling broad applications across next-generation therapeutics, crop protection, animal health, and biomaterials. At Veneno, we integrate AI-driven peptide design, disulfide engineering, and cross-species bioactivity evaluation to develop One Health-based peptide solutions for humans, animals, and the environment. Our science represents a new paradigm in life innovation — connecting molecular “knots” to unify health across all living systems. My career has been dedicated to building bridges between science and implementation. At CYBERDYNE, I contributed to the social deployment of medical robotics. At Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, I led the establishment of Shonan Health Innovation Park (iPark) — Japan’s first privately-led biotech ecosystem — driving collaboration between academia, startups, and global pharma. Later at Novartis Pharma, I served as Head of the Healthcare System Department, leading the launch of radioligand therapies and policy engagement across Gene Therapy and CAR-T programs as a member of the Executive Leadership Committee, helping shape Japan’s healthcare innovation strategy at a global level. Building upon these experiences, I now lead Veneno Technologies to connect science and industry for a sustainable, peptide-driven future.
