About Talgat Omarov

The career of mine was started with studying for Power Engineer at the Aktau State University (with honor) where I gained an indisputable knowledge. Then I was employed by "MAEK" State Company which is the main power, heat and water supplier in Mangistau and consists of 3 Power Plants and 1 Water Treatment Plant (seawater into potable water). In more than one year I applied for Agip KCO training project where I passed- English courses up to adv. level. Tested by British Council- Physics and Chemistry in English- Basic Technical Knowledge courses- Oil & Gas Reservoirs- Geology- Drilling- Instrumentation- QC- HSE- Maintenance- etc- Behavioural training; As a part of the training project, we had OJT in various Oil & Gas Plants and Refineries of Kazakhstan, Italy, and Egypt which supported by Eni Corporate University. The project gave me a huge theory of Oil & Gas Production/Processing as well as the basic skill of it. With this "massive" knowledge, I started working as a Junior Engineer in Agip KCO. As you can see in my experience history I have worked in different positions. This is because my management transferred me from one crucial point to another. For example, as a Junior Eng. I dealt with plant Integration check. Afterwards, I was transferred to Camp Utilities (previously operated by Contractors) when Camp Utilities was just handed over to us and these were a few selected persons (including me) to start working in a new unknown place. When company prepared enough staff for the Utilities I was transferred to Integrated Commissioning And testing (ICAT) of Plant Utilities. These Plant Utilities had to start urgently and it was a critical task to prepare it for the Start-Up. Then I was chosen to work in Offshore. As it is well known Offshore requires a higher responsibility for the duty and HSE requirements than Onshore. For some private reasons I left Agip KCO and started own business. In parallel with my small private business I have worked in Ersai Water Plant. Then I was employed ADNOC Offshore Abu Dhabi. Since August 2019 I have been working for TCO in Tengiz as Operations Plant Consultant for Future Growth Project. My slogan is "Whole life is a school and do not be tired to learn to extend your outlook and gain new useful skills". Now, in addition to my experience, my soft skills are levelled up by EMBA.
