Dr. Talia Shwer joined Dr. Lawrence Carlton, prior to his retirement, at Flatlands Foot Care in 2015. Dr. Shwer specializes in all conditions of the foot and ankle. She earned her doctorate at The Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Shwer grew up in Tampa, FL but is a proud to practice podiatry in the amazing City of New York. Dr. Shwer received her bachelor degree in Chemistry with special focus in Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Shwer completed her podiatric rotations at NY Methodist Hospital, Good Samaritian Hospital of Long Island, and Boston University Medical Center. She also completed an extensive elective trauma rotation at the level one trauma of center of Cleveland, Metro Hospital. Dr. Shwer completed the first 2 years of residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan and Queens. Dr. Shwer completed her surgical training at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, in Brooklyn, NY. At Wyckoff Heights Medical Medical Center she did additional year of training to specialize in Wound Care.
