About Talin Wauchope

I’ve always been drawn to entrepreneurship and the challenges at the intersection of business and technology. Over the years, I’ve worked within some of the world’s leading investment institutions—building infrastructure, managing complexity, and solving problems at scale. Today, alongside my partners, I lead investment strategy and operations at Torreyana Capital, a boutique advisory firm in San Diego, where no two days are ever the same. At the heart of my work is serving clients—helping them simplify complexity, preserve what matters most, and pursue opportunities with confidence. What excites me most is building things that endure—whether it’s high-performing teams, scalable systems, or strong partnerships. I enjoy mentoring early-career professionals, shaping investment theses, and refining processes that will stand the test of time—all with the goal of creating durable foundations that generate lasting value. Outside of work, I value integrity, discipline, and doing the hard things well. I’m a lifelong learner, data enthusiast, casual tennis player, alpine explorer, and avid traveler. And I’m always up for a thoughtful conversation about markets, technology, or where the two converge.
