As a Management and Leadership Professor in a public college, I am deeply committed to equipping students with essential career management strategies. Through lectures focused on networking strategies, informational interviews, labor market research, and professional etiquette, I empower both domestic and international students to navigate the complexities of the job market with patience, resilience, and boldness. I bring a wealth of experience managing multifaceted projects, from workforce development and recruitment to talent acquisition programs across varied industries. Notable achievements include overseeing a temporary foreign worker program, recruiting and onboarding over 300 employees from 15 countries in Central America and the Caribbean, and steering crisis management efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic as chair of the Joint Health and Safety Committee. My technical expertise encompasses a range of systems, including the following: Applicant Tracking System: Indeed, LinkedIn, and Prevue. Human Resources Information System: ADP, Dayforce, Oracle, SAP, and UKG Kronos. Video Meeting Platforms: Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and Skype. Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel. Beyond my professional endeavors, I am deeply involved in volunteering initiatives supporting the personal and professional development of diverse groups, including newcomers, refugees, international students, and recent graduates. As a Mentor, I provide guidance on resume building, networking strategies, and career goal setting. Outside of work, I enjoy immersing myself in literature, exploring historical sites, and indulging my passion for pop culture through video games, comic books, and avid support for my favorite soccer team.
