Background

About Tamara Anisa

I am a communications specialist with over 10 years of experience working in conservation, climate change, and sustainable development. At Wildlife Works, I develop and implement communication strategies that bring our REDD+ and biodiversity programs closer to the people. My work ranges from writing stories from the field to producing materials that connect with investors, government partners, and global audiences. I enjoy finding ways to turn technical ideas into simple, engaging narratives. For me, communication is not only about informing but also about making sure community voices are part of the bigger conversation, especially women and youth who often remain unheard. Previously, I worked with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry on the G20 Climate Sustainability Working Group. In that role I helped coordinate communication efforts among different stakeholders and shared Indonesia’s commitment to climate resilience at the international level. I am passionate about connecting local realities with global action, using communication as a bridge to inspire collaboration and meaningful change.
