Fashion Roundtable has been secretariat to the only two All-Party Parliamentary Groups relating to the fashion industry, across design, creative, textiles, manufacturing, sustainability, social justice, retail, IP, tech & innovation: the APPG for Ethics & Sustainability in Fashion & the APPG for Textiles & Fashion. We lead on reports, events & briefings for cross party parliamentarians & the government. Thanks to their commitment, the engagement with policy makers has transformed & seen several key policy decisions changed to support the industry directly due to their interventions, reports & engagement. They sit across all of the strategic policy committees on fashion’s intersection with social justice & sustainability in the UK. Partners for FR work include luxury brands, The King’s Foundation, Laudes, UNEP, YOOX-Net-A-Porter, NGOs, sustainable innovators & academia. Commissioner for the UK Trade & Business Commission, the only voice of the fashion industry in the commission with cross party parliamentarians & industry leaders, chairs have included Hilary Benn MP & Peter Norris Chair of Virgin Group.
