About Tamara de Heij

From an early age I have always loved and been intrigued by numbers, whether it was a complicated math problem or solving intricate puzzles involving numbers; making things “add up exactly right” immensely fascinated me. For the same reason, I love to immerse myself in a data problem. If and/or when I find anomalies in the patterns of the data, I love to find and explain the solution for how it came to be and how we can solve it… it’s very “nerdy” but brings me a ton of joy. The combination of my genuine interest in data coupled with 20 years of experience working with various industries and data types and systems, has allowed me to develop a strong intuition that gets me to the root cause of problems extremely quickly. Because of this, I have started my own businesses, where I can dive deep into my passions for all things data and share this experience with colleagues who share the same passions. Although the world of marketing and data intelligence is hyper-commercialized and competitive, I have always strived to focus on the human side of my enterprises, where every decision I make takes not only the company into consideration but the people working in and on the solution are considered equally important. I want to be aligned with the people I am working with, both clients and co-workers, so I enter my working relationship with honesty, transparency, and loyalty. For me, integrity is central to everything I do. To me, integrity means I’ll stay true to these values and principles for myself, my colleagues, and my clients. In building long-lasting working relationships, I feel, not only is integrity important but also that it’s more important to give than to receive, and acting that way has allowed me to form amazing, solid, reciprocal relationships for both myself and my businesses. I like to think I run my companies like family businesses, where it is always easy to discuss what’s going on both good and bad, and everyone gets their hands dirty doing the work, including myself.
