I am a Nurse Practitioner in Medical Oncology since 2018 working in the areas of metastatic melanoma, advanced prostate, kidney, bladder and testicular cancers, and oncology pain and symptom management. I have a 15 year background in clinical nursing in adult hematology oncology and blood and marrow transplantation. Roles include-Oncological treatment supervision and disease management of patients followed in the Genitourinary, Cutaneous and Pain and Symptom Clinics-Delivering educational and supportive documents related to medical oncology and genitourinary, cutaneous and pain and symptom management for patients, physicians, nurse practitioner students, physician assistants, nurses and other allied health professionals. I'm also an instructor (NIL appointment) with the College of Nursing, University of Manitoba. Roles include-Clinical Preceptorships for Masters of Nursing students in the Nurse Practitioner Program-Maintaining professional current knowledge on the latest research and education guidelines for teaching best practice patient assessment with particular attention to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
