About Tamara Freestone

I am currently working as a Branch Operations Officer within the NDIS Commission. I am part of the Communications, Education and Engagement teams. My days are filled with variiety. From creating manuals, updating of spreadsheets, ordering stock, arranging participant and provider packs to be mailed out, assisting with booking travel/accommodation, ordering of name badges and business cards, issuing of certificates if needed. I help manage various email mailboxes and help with some recruitment processes for our branch within the Commission. I spend time weekly with our National Contact Centre. A lot of my focus is to ensure participants are safe and helping them to feel this way. If there's a immediate risk to help reduce it or work methods for it not to occur. The calls are varied: some are compliants, people needing some help or guidance to access their portals or profiles which may include password resets, help to navigate certain websites and if necessary directing them to other companies who can help with their inquiries. Working as part of the Commission is rewarding and am constantly learning.
