About Tamara Lacasse

Above all, I am passionate about learning. I thrive when I immerse myself in unfamiliar environments, meet people from different backgrounds and cultures, and seek ways to bridge the gap between us. My experience includes organizing and coordinating several large-scale events in Quebec and abroad, including an online prefectural skill development conference in Japan; conducting a wide variety of workshops and classes, from high school lessons, to university conference sections, and professional development workshops; researching issues related to humanitarian aid, international relations, and gender; and putting together a bilingual (Japanese-English) handbook to alleviate communication issues between foreign language teachers and their supervisors. I now dream of embarking on a new adventure. I am looking for an opportunity that will allow me to connect with and serve people from different backgrounds and cultures, while giving me the opportunity to engage with complex ideas and issues in the non-profit world, especially in organizations with a humanitarian vocation. I am confident that I have the skills and attitude required to contribute to the mission of these organizations. I always jump feet first into the opportunities that are open to me and have demonstrated time and time again my resourcefulness, my ability to "learn on the job" and my desire to contribute to the success of my team.
