About Tamara Luisce

Tamara Luisce is a business professional with a diverse knowledge in environmental and social sustainability, natural resource management and international development. Tamara has worked with federal and municipal regulatory bodies, international organizations and non-profit organizations. She has a broad range of experience in environmental reporting, energy strategy, benchmarking assessments, project management and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) implementation. She has conducted energy and sustainability work in Canada, Mexico, United States and Japan. Her community involvement includes volunteer and advisory roles in international development agencies, social entrepreneurship initiatives, children’s education and women’s health organizations. She also supports local civil associations with a focus on indigenous communities in Mexico. Tamara holds a Master of Science in Sustainability from the United Nations University (UNU) Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability where she received a full scholarship and research support from the government of Japan. She graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Process Management and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a focus in Latin America. During her studies she was involved in multiple research engagements ranging from cases of diplomacy and international law to initiatives of international development and social innovation.
