About Tamara Marie Stuart

I am a Senior Manager at Macquarie Group, where I oversee the operationalization of the global regulatory books and records governance framework for the past 7.5 years. I report to the Global Head of Records Governance and ensure that the firm meets the recordkeeping requirements of various regulators, such as the US CFTC, SEC, NFA, and EMEA's MiFIDII. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and experience in the information governance space, which equips me with the analytical, communication, and research skills to excel in this role. As a regulatory governance leader, I have co-authored and delivered the Records Lifecycle Management Standard, which has represented a sea change in how the firm manages the material risk that is regulatory recordkeeping. I leverage my expertise in records compliance, vendor management, and process improvement to ensure that the records framework is effective and fit for purpose. I also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as Group General Counsel, Compliance, Business Units, and Suppliers, to provide guidance, facilitation, and coordination on recordkeeping policy and procedures. My mission is to enable Macquarie Group, a leading multinational firm and a top-ranked mergers and acquisitions advisor, to achieve its strategic goals while maintaining a high standard of regulatory compliance.
