About Tamara Schultz

After 15 years of running my own business designing and teaching artistic quilts and techniques, I started as a temporary Workplace Experience Manager. I took to this job like a fish to water, enjoying the day to day activities of making an office run smoothly, taking on new challenges as my boss has expanded what the position involves, as well as truly listening to my co-workers and making sure they know they have been heard. My contract ends at the end of January 2024 so I am open to new opportunities. My manager, team and co-workers have been more than happy with my work and positive attitude, but the woman I am temping for is coming back and there are no other positions available for me within the company. I am a cheerful, empathetic person with strong problem solving skills who is quick to learn new routines. In addition to using Office programs, I have had experience SAP and R-Card. I am quick to understand software which I have not used before. As part of my current job I plan, budget and order for daily breakfasts, frequent fikas and monthly after works. I also see that there is plenty of coffee and office supplies, that our security system is up to date and everyone who needs access to the office has it. I also handle telephone issues for our office, deal with maintenance issues and the cleaners. I also was a part of a co-operative craft gallery in Boston for a few years. Here I was part of the daily running of the shop, including all the duties involved with that, as well as being a part of some "behind the scenes" activities including jurying in new works and planning special themed shows. Daily duties involved serving customers, cash register work, display duties from dusting to window displays, inventory and more. I feel as though my creative background is a huge advantage in the business world as I approach problems from a different perspective. I am fluent in Swedish and have a B drivers license for manual cars.
