About Tamara Veldboer

As a generalist, strategist, creative thinker, consultant - I combine circularity and business knowledge to contribute to systems change. Currently in the role as Director at Circle Economy Consulting:"Your circular journey: inspired by people, driven by data"Focus & interest areas include retail/consumer goods, food, behavioral change, leadership - all in connection with circularity/sustainability.I joined Circle Economy in February 2019, bringing my educational foundation from Erasmus University Rotterdam and Nyenrode Business University, along with consulting experience from Deloitte and Accenture. I merge my business background with sustainability, helping companies adopt circular practices, and shifting mindsets towards valuing what truly matters. I love the moments when everything comes together in the visioning workshops that are a milestone in every project—creativity, curiosity, and conviction by all participants that creates the spirit for making real change in their day-to-day work. At the same time, I know the barriers standing in the way: overcoming misconceptions, breaking through entrenched, wasteful practices, and pushing for the long-term value of sustainability amidst ruling short-term business priorities. Outside of work, I explore the world of wine, enjoy cultural activities, and love discovering new places, dancing and doing yoga.My message? “Come over to the circular side—there’s a lot of work to do, and it’s (mostly) fun!”Voluntary board member of BYCS and Circle for Sustainability / Nyenrode Business University Alumni.Practicing 'cross-boundary leadership' and 'collaborative leadership' and 'cultural intelligence', as part of the Sky Blue community of Common Purpose.Member of Rotary, RIO aan de Amstel, Amsterdam.Member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps, accelerating global change through local action, to make a sustainable future a reality, soon.
