About Tamara Vissers

Allround experienced polymer technologist. Bachelors degree in chemical engineering, Masters degree in polymers and composites, PhD project dedicated to studying polypropylene and five years of working experience in the chemical industry: first in a research and development position and subsequently in quality assurance/regularory affairs. Currently I am working as Quality Systems Compliance Team Leader in pet nutrition. I am an enthusiastic, analytical, accurate and social person and strong in communication with various disciplines. Experience with the following characterization techniques for polymers: Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Fast Scanning Chip Calorimetry (Flash DSC), Optical Microscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Fourier-Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy, Tensile Testing, Rheology and X-ray Diffraction (XRD). Experience with the following preparation methods: polymer blend preparation in a co-rotating mini twin-screw extruder and multilayer co-extrusion in various setups to study confinement effects.
