About Tamas Lukacsi
I am a senior lawyer at the Legal Service of the European Parliament. My job is to represent the institution in court proceedings and to provide in-house legal advice on legislation and members' rights. I've been living in a multicultural environment since 2004 and have experience in working with teams up to 28 nationalities. I am a qualified lawyer (with a Hungarian bar exam) and have a PhD in law and political sciences, as well as a few years of experience of working at the Prime Minister's Office in the beginning of my career. I am proud to be a member of the public body of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Besides my job as a practicing lawyer, I am asked, from time to time, to give university lectures and to contribute to publications such as the legal commentary of the EU's founding Treaties. However, among all my published writings my favourite is the book I wrote on Aristotle's political philosophy.
