About Tamer Hashem

Experienced Physical Security Manager across the Middle East & Africa with several regional security assignments, mainly covering the Middle East, Africa, Turkey and India in different industries including Oil and gas security, Banking security, FMCG and others. I consider myself an expert in most disciplines related to Physical security; i.e. asset protection, security audits and risk assessments, security awareness and training, Incident and emergency response, crisis management, business continuity, travel security, corporate investigations and executive protection. Throughout my career, I was tasked to set and manage different security departments; sometimes totally from the scratch which entailed the creation of Policies and SOP's as well as hiring and training the workforce of these departments. I came from a Police and law enforcement background and I have worked as an International Police monitor at the United Nations peace keeping mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina in I hold a Master Degree in Security and Risk Management and a BSc in Law and Policing. I am also a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), a Business Continuity Certified Expert (BCCE) and a member of several security organizations such as the Security Institute in UK and ASIS International. I assume that my ability to adapt with different security management styles is a key strength which enabled me to contribute effectively in almost all assignments. Today, after 25 years of experience, I am still as excited and enthusiastic about my work the way I used to be when I first started my career. I hope that my experience, regional and international exposure, educational credentials and dedication for work would be of value to my current and future career assignments.
