The questions I’ve been frequently asked have most definitely been about a ‘pervasive longing’ around wanting to delegate more consistently and let go with ease. Basically… How do I more quickly and easily:* Manage expectations and truly ensure accountability (and then trust them to do the right thing and do it well!)* Find time to support, coach, and collaborate effectively – particularly with remote team members – so I can grow their capability and capacity to take on even more In order to gain back time so they actually reflect more, plan better, and have time to think more strategically. In other words… ‘More Leading, Less Doing! ‘ While it’s seemingly easy to understand, it can be incredibly challenging to figure out and then implement the necessary combo of skills and mindset development needed and craft these desires into a workable leadership operating rhythm. Particularly in 2020 when the challenges of leading have certainly multiplied! Over the years I’ve learned exactly how best to guide leaders to EXPLORE what they do, EXPERIMENT in a relevant and practical way to more quickly gain competence and mastery. Through intensely engaging virtual and face to face workshops and coaching the proven roadmap is unpacked. With lots of room for discussion, where even the most reticent participant is cajoled to chime in, leaders to learn from one another, feel comfortable to participate, & challenge each other to grow. Along the way, a combination of gentle nudges and direct feedback keep the experiment trajectory on track even through the inevitable discomfort of personal growth. Ultimately, LIBERATING the leader’s potential and addressing the overwhelm that can all too often accompany the rigours of Leadership.
