I am a nursing professional having passionately dedicated 20+ years to learning, growing personally, and professionally while providing the best quality of care to improve patient outcomes. My experience covers a large spectrum from both inpatient and outpatient to include pediatrics, oncology, family practice, endocrinology, diabetes care, and management, with one of my greatest privileges that of providing care to our wounded in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Describing myself as an endocrinology “geek” gives insight into my dedication to providing the best possible diabetes care and chronic disease management. As a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, I have for more than six years helped guide patients toward improved diabetes control, improved health, satisfaction, and happiness in both individual and group settings. During 2021 Created, implemented, conducted, and supervised group diabetic patient visits including diabetes education for 100+diabetic patients; culminating with an average improvement in a Hgb A1c reduction of 1.3 points in a 6-month period with the challenges presented by COVID-19.
