About Tami Gaskins

For over 20 years, I have worked in the field of child welfare. I believe that my practical, real world experience in combination with my educational background will be of great value in many professional arenas. I enjoy working with people from diverse social, racial, religious, and economic backgrounds, and adapt effortlessly to demanding situations. In my professional career, I have performed combinations of numerous roles such as negotiator, mentor, counselor, consultant, advocate, and teacher. I mediate communication and unravel problems in multiform environments such as hospitals, courtrooms, schools, and personal residences. In reaching out to offer my services to the community, I am given the privilege of entering into people’s lives, to analyze, diagnose, and resolve intimate troubles and concerns. I feel that I have a great deal of knowledge, as well as empathy to offer to society. Further, I am intelligent, conscientious, organized, and disciplined. I am extremely capable of independent scholarly work as I have excellent analytical skills, and have shown resourcefulness and persistence in accomplishing my goals, whether they are professional, intellectual or personal. As an employee, I am consistently an involved, thoughtful and serious participant, and strive to contribute meaningfully in all interactions. In addition, I am a personable, mature, and creative individual who has worked successfully in the counseling field for many years. Therefore, I will approach my duties with a broad base of professional experience.
