About Tami Williams

With over a decade of experience in the public sector, I am renowned for my strategic acumen and exceptional leadership. I've spearheaded transformative initiatives in regulatory oversight, program delivery, and fraud detection, leaving an indelible mark on Australia's digital landscape. In 2019, I took on the challenge of establishing interim regulatory services crucial for the rollout of the Government's Digital ID System. Through visionary leadership and strategic foresight, I created the Oversight Authority (OA) from scratch, securing funding and enabling over 135 government services to sign-on to Digital ID. Recognised for my exceptional leadership, I received an Australia Day Achievement Award in 2022 for driving transformation and fostering innovation. As Director of the Digital ID Accreditation Scheme at the Department of Finance, I continue to influence cultural changes and build high-impact teams focused on resilience and innovation. With expertise in governance, regulation, program management, fraud control, and risk management, I bring strategic insight and adaptability to every project. My leadership legacy is defined by my commitment to building purpose-driven teams ready to tackle the most pressing challenges of our time.
