The path to a successful future depends largely on the emphasis we place on training and educating tomorrow’s leaders. I believe that successful training and education strategies are derived from both creativity and science, theory and perspective. The knowledge of what educational tools and theories to use and when to apply them, provides a stepping stone for a successful workforce. Instructional design pulls from multiple theories and perspectives to create an effective and efficient learning environment. Theories provide guidelines and clues to strategies, while forming the underlying framework to build from. I believe in bringing an emotional connection to learners, and scaffolding those learners to better maximize their learning experiences. Our future is bright and innovative. We must continue to strive for better education initiatives, support those who try to succeed, and increase the diversity and equality of our workforce.
