My insurance career began in 1987 when I was hired by The Richards Group Agency in Brattleboro, VT fresh out of college. It is here where I obtained my VT Property & Casualty license which I continue to hold at present day. The State of VT requires re-certification every two years which allows me to stay as up to date as possible in the Property/Casualty field through means of continuing education. I relocated to Manchester, VT in 1990 and began a 22 year career with the the W.H. Shaw Agency as a Property & Casualty agent. In 2012 the Richards Group purchased an agency in Manchester. Having worked for them previously, I accepted a position as Account Manager here in our Manchester, VT branch. I am responsible for writing new accounts and for servicing and maintaining approximately 800 personal lines accounts. The Richards Group is an independent agency and represents a multitude of carriers. We are a full service agency for both Personal and Commercial lines as well as Employee Benefits. With 30 years in the industry, my job to help identify your insurance needs and assist with designing a policy to properly cover and protect those needs as cost effective as possible.
