Senior Computer Engineer with over 30 years in the IT industry. Customer focused engineer who loves interacting with internal and especially external customers solving their business needs. One of my favorite projects was working with a team to architect a solution for a two Data Center NAS with Global Active Device solution. Working directly with the customer and co-workers building a test solution onsite and successfully showing the architecture in action. Outsite of work, I love to be outdoors and recently received my open water scuba certification! I love the ocean and what better way to see ocean life than under the sea. I enjoy hiking in the wonderful Colorado Rockies and giving back by donating platelets. Skilled in Network Attached Storage (NAS), Object Storage, Storage Area Network (SAN), Data Protection/Replication, Enterprise Software, Enterprise Architecture and Servers and Software Defined Storage (SDS). Experience with Hitachi Vantara's (formally Hitachi Data Systems) NAS, Content/Data Intelligence, storage hardware and software products for the past thirteen years. Experience with Hewlett Packard HP-UX, Blue Arc, Brocade, and VMware vSphere. Major strengths include strong communication skills, private/public and hybrid cloud, Fiber Channel network technologies and customer service. Strong IT professional with a Bachelor of Science - BS in Computer Science and Master's in Computer Information Systems/Telecommunication.
