About Tamron Snell

I started my software engineering journey in 2016 just before I started in Technical Support at Amazon. This is also when I fell in love with the Tech industry. My journey began with front-end web development technologies, specifically HTML, CSS & JavaScript, and I soon launched my first live website for an Art outreach project. It was largely an experiment to see if I’m competent, but quickly became my passion project. By 2018 I had a neat front-end stack published on GitHub and my portfolio kept growing from there, going beyond just web development. Soon I started my Banking journey as a Technical Support agent in Cash management: ATM Monitoring for Capitec. This position is where I was introduced to Splunk - at the time having no idea what an impact it would have on my career 4 years down the line. By 2023 I joined the Card Processing Channels team as part of the Monitoring and Card Support Systems team as a Junior Support Analyst. Specifically focusing on Card Production and Splunk Development.
