About Tane Owens

Received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University in May of 2017 and am licensed to practice in the state of Nevada. In addition to my 38 weeks of clinical experience, I have three years of experience in strength and conditioning coaching at the high school and college levels and have found that many professional skills have transferred well to the physical therapy profession. These skills include biomechanical analysis, exercise instruction, and movement communication. As a practicing physical therapist, I hope to achieve my credentials as a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) within one year and a Fellowship in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT) within five years. As an ambitious new graduate, I am always looking for opportunities to continuously expand on an already extensive base of physical therapy knowledge while being a resource for new ideas and research to my new professional team. As a quick learner, I aspire to be an autonomous and productive member of my new workplace within one month of my potential orientation. Values that I hold in the highest regard include: a commitment to the patient, evidence-based practice, and care for the whole person. I am excited to work with patients with a multitude of physical pathologies and look forward to the challenges that a physical therapy career provides. Finally, I aim to bring energy to my workplace while practicing at the highest level of the physical therapy profession.
