Passionate about empowering individuals through evidence-based interventions Currently studying Psychology at UniSA, I am keen to expand my expertise in behavioural analysis. My career is driven by a deep commitment to breaking generational cycles through practical, supportive, and trauma-informed approaches. With over five years of experience in the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) sector, I have developed extensive experience in supporting individuals with complex needs. In my caseworker roles, I have delivered psychosocial interventions to individuals experiencing high-risk behaviours, substance use disorders, and co-occurring psychosocial challenges. My experience conducting risk assessments, implementing harm reduction strategies, and providing psychosocial interventions has given me a strong understanding of treatment planning and the complexities surrounding alcohol and drug use. By applying evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotion Regulation Therapy (ERT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, I have addressed both substance use and underlying psychosocial factors contributing to individuals' challenges. Working independently in client-facing roles, I have built strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborating with external agencies and adapting to diverse workplace environments to ensure the best possible outcomes for those I support.
