About Tania Brown

As Club Secretary of the Vintage Sports-Car Club, I lead one of the most respected communities in historic motorsport. I work closely with a talented team, dedicated volunteers and passionate members to ensure the Club thrives, both at events and behind the scenes. My work spans club governance, event delivery, membership growth and community engagement, always underpinned by a belief in the enduring value of motorsport heritage. I have introduced clearer processes and more robust HR practices to support staff, volunteers and members alike. Sustainability has remained a key focus, advocating for the use of sustainable fuels in motorsport. I launched the Club’s Vintage Velocity podcast to connect with new and existing audiences, and kept the Club running throughout the challenges of lockdown, ensuring continuity at a time when many faltered. Under my leadership the Club has enjoyed award-winning seasons, receiving national recognition including multiple Club of the Year titles. I was personally honoured to be shortlisted as Classic Car Ambassador of the Year. My journey began as a teenage girl discovering a Club where I truly belonged. That experience fuels my ongoing commitment to inclusive practice, particularly encouraging and supporting greater female participation in motorsport and across the historic vehicle movement. Whether I am managing or marshalling, I remain focused on preserving tradition while preparing the Club and community for the future.
