About Tania Johnson

As a social worker, I am driven by a profound empathy for others, dedicated to fostering positive change in individuals and communities. With a strong foundation in social sciences, I bring an understanding of human behavior and societal dynamics to my practice. My approach is rooted in compassion and advocacy, aiming to empower those facing adversity, be it in overcoming trauma, navigating systems, or accessing resources. Through active listening and collaborative interventions, I strive to build trust and facilitate holistic well-being. Guided by ethics and a commitment to social justice, I aim to be a catalyst for meaningful and sustainable transformation and contribution to social change and justice. I am a proud Indigenous community and social services professional with a Bachelor of Human Services and Master of Social Work with additional qualifications such as a diploma in community services work, teaching and assessing certificate, and AOD qualification. I have also undertaken extensive quality professional development opportunities in family work with DFFH & in the counselling / therapeutic space. I have had work experience in specialised family violence response, family support, mental health, youth support, and cultural consultation for Bendigo Tafe.
