About Tania Thomas

As a graduate of Seneca College’s Fire Protection Engineering Technology program, I bring the energy and commitment necessary to thrive in an innovative and growing environment. My passion for fire safety, research and problem-solving has driven me to complete the program within 2.5 years, while gaining a significant understanding within Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe products, AutoSPRINK and Autocad. This included a 4-month co-op at Morrison Hershfield Ltd. that resulted in an offer for full-time employment after graduation. I have superior knowledge with the Mandate of the Office of the Fire Marshal, including relevant federal, provincial and municipal legislation. My work at Morrison Hershfield has furthered my experience in writing inspection reports and given me a solid understanding of fire inspection methods and techniques, building construction and built-in systems in a professional environment. As Junior Consultant, I developed and reviewed building code and fire code reports, while applying knowledge of risk assessment and management principles. I conducted independent inspections on small and large buildings, while keeping strict records in accordance with industry standards.
