About Tanim Hossain

Throughout my childhood, I have always had a fascination in understanding how things worked, especially the technical aspects of real-world objects around us created to facilitate people’s daily lives. This was partly due to my great curiosity and enthusiasm towards commercial aeroplanes, which I had the privilege to experience as I was frequently travelling with my parents ever since my early childhood.Further on, I had developed an interest for working with numbers and after completing high school; deciding to study engineering was a way for me to gain deeper levels of understanding on the nature of engineering disciplines by developing strong analytical, numerical skills and problem-solving mindset. Fast forward today, achieving a master's degree gave me the ability to put into practice the principles, disciplines and theories learnt during my previous academic years giving me extensive exposure to real world engineering problems and projects to work with, both individually and as part of a team by teaching me the importance of effective communication and presentation skills to convey ideas, solutions and reach desired common goals. Currently, I believe we are at a major point of transition in the way we produce and consume energy; deciding to be part of this transition or not can have major implications in our ability to sustain ourselves for the upcoming future and the wellbeing of the future generations. Therefore, my main interest now is to be part of an innovative organisation that is focused in achieving a positive, sustainable and cleaner future, where I myself, can further grow by developing professional knowledge and utilize the knowledge gained throughout my academic journey, to contribute positively on to the environment and the society.
