About Tanisa Karima

I'm a graduate from Universitas Indonesia, majoring in Geophysics. During my years in Universitas Indonesia, I learned about earth sciences, seismology, geology, oil and gas, geothermal, mining, and disaster. I joined several organizations, but focused mainly on Society of Exploration Geophysicists Universitas Indonesia Student Chapter (SEG UI SC), where in 2016, I was selected as the Head of Public Relation Division, before being elected as the president of the organization in 2017. In 2017, I was chosen as one of the 50 students all over the world to participate in Student Leadership Symposium held by Society of Exploration Geophysicists and Chevron in Houston, Texas, United States. During the symposium, the organization that i lead and represented got awarded with the Best Innovation Award. In May 2018, I became a part of the 42nd Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) Convention and Exhibition as a student volunteer, along with 15 other selected students all over Indonesia. Later that year, in November, I was chosen to participate in a summer programme held by Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) in Malaysia, where I learned about petroleum system.
