With over 20 years of hands-on experience in sustainable finance, I am the Director and Founder of Clarmondial AG, an independent advisory firm that delivers innovative and practical solutions for nature. I have a natural sciences background (Tropical Environmental Science, Applied Environmental Economics, Environmental Law and Policy), and I was born & raised in Tanzania & Kenya. I am a Director at the Food Securities Fund - an innovative blended finance fund for sustainable agriculture value chains that Clarmondial developed and implements. I am an Advisory Expert at Cartier for Nature, a Technical Advisory Group member at the Science Based Targets initiative, and an advisory board member to the Centre for Global Advancement to address environmental crime and to SRI Executive. I have extensive applied experience in developing & implementing new financing solutions to address environmental challenges, including climate finance. I have worked with leading companies, investors, foundations, UN organisations, NGOs, research groups and governments to design and implement impactful projects and programs. I have also contributed to the development of new standards and best practice, including through white papers and journal articles. My mission is to support the transition to economies that are sustainable and resilient - in all aspects including environmental, social and financial. I am passionate about getting "real" things done with committed partners.
